We purchase over-stock inventory from local Hyundai and Kia dealerships. We have select BRAND NEW Hyundai and Kia engines in stock, ready for delivery. Note that New engines are sold as "long blocks" and do not include ancillary components such as injectors, coils, wiring, etc.
We primarily purchase wrecked Hyundais and Kias from insurance companies. We only purchase cars that have significant body damage. We do NOT buy any mechanically damaged cars or flooded cars. Upon arrival we test and remove the ‘used’ engine. All used engines come with a NMVTIS car-fax report to verify mileage and prior maintenance. Please note that we selectively sell used engines. Certain Hyundai Kia engines such as the 1.6 Turbo are always remanufactured due to their common oil consumption problems.
A fine running used engine makes the best candidate for the remanufacturing process. Most engine repair companies rebuild ‘core’ engines that have sustained catastrophic internal damages. Rebuilding a core engine most often requires the use of Cylinder Sleeves in the block. These sleeves can overheat, causing damage to the piston and rings because of the poor heat dissipation between the different alloys.
Our Patented Upgrade and Solution involves taking the used engine apart and replace all internals with upgraded parts. This includes but is not limited to new camshafts, crank, oversized reinforced main and rod bearings/ thrust washers, upgraded oil pump, thicker head gasket, Cadmium plated pistons, new piston rings, Teflon valve stem seals (factory uses rubber which disintegrates at a much faster rate), new valves, new valve cover, new timing cover, new oil pan and seals. These procedures often resolve the manufacture defects and make our engines stronger than factory. Please note that the remanufacturing process and relative parts vary depending on the engine type.
Once the remanufacturing process is complete our engines undergo a compression test and a leak down test. Compression tests are used to determine how much pressure the engine makes, and a leak down test measures its ability to hold pressure. Next phase of testing involves a hot running test. In this phase, ancillary components are installed on the engine and tested using operating parameters as they would function real time in an actual vehicle. This test is primarily used to verify horsepower, temperature and engine vibration. The final phase involves draining the fluids used in the hot-running test and prepping the engine cosmetically for sale.
Please note that our Remanufactured Hyundai and Kia engines are sold as "long blocks" and while they do include the Cylinder Head, Engine Block, Valve Cover and Oil Pan they do not include ancillary components such as injectors, coils, wiring, etc.
Freight shipping within the continental USA (Not Hawaii Puerto Rico or Alaska) Engines must be delivered to a commercial address. Once payment is clear you should receive the engine within 5-7 business days. Please send us an email with your information and car details attached. One of our staff members will get back to you as soon as possible
Each and every one of our Remanufactured Engines undergoes a hot running test
Our engines MUST pass strict OEM operating parameters in order to be boxed and ready for sale. Even a small degree of error can be a nightmare for you and us. Regardless of market demands, every motor must pass all of our tests prior to sale.
To hear a smooth running engine is music to our ears. It is like a fine-tuned piano that any car enthusiast should appreciate
